After spending the beginning of the 2007 season in raggedy environments like the AL East cellar, the Yankees have finally returned to the .500 mark. The last time New York has felt this good about being even in June must have been some time ago.
Derek Jeter and Bobby Abreu are sporting mile-long grins in the dugout. Alex Rodriguez is again hitting everything out of the park that's over the plate. Melky Cabrera is playing gold-glove caliber defense in centerfield and Johnny Damon is loving this whole DH thing.
Suffice to say: winning breeds chemistry. Though it may seem a cynical or disingenuous notion, the '07 bombers are proving it to be true beyond a reasonable doubt.
